AUTHOR INTRODUCTION

Naresh Kumar 'Sooxm'

Chartered Accountant · Senior finance leader · Author of Manujment

Naresh Kumar 'Sooxm' is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a senior leader in the finance profession with more than 28 years of experience at large organisations. His career has included CFO responsibilities, business expansion, financial governance, digital transformation and the development of finance teams.

He brings this management experience to Manujment, placing Sanatana thought and the Manusmriti in conversation with modern questions about work, responsibility and life. Written largely as a dialogue between a father and his questioning daughter, the book explores Varna roles, Ashram phases and the value of reasoned enquiry.

THE TWO QUADRANTS

Choose a point of view.

One view asks what part do we play? The other asks how does our focus change over time?

CHAPTER 03 · ORGANISATIONAL ROLES

Varna Quadrant

01

Four roles in an organisation, understood by contribution rather than birth. A person may take on more than one role.

CHAPTER 04 · PHASES OF LIFE

Ashram Quadrant

02

Four phases of a life journey, moving gradually from preparation to action, assistance and mentoring.

PUT THE VIEWS TOGETHER

A role is what you contribute.
A phase is where you are in life's journey.

The two views are independent: a person can perform any organisational role during different phases of life. The links above suggest themes to explore, not a fixed pairing or a label for a person.

CHAPTER VII · SANATANA & MANUJMENT

Synchronisation of Sanatana & Manujment.

Chapter VII connects the roles and phases to three deity pairs and their virtues: Brahma and Saraswati for knowledge, Vishnu and Laxmi for action, and Shiva and Parvati for service. Select a role or phase to explore the alignment.

Choose an organisational role

The book notes that virtues overlap across roles and phases. These pairings show the chapter’s emphasis for each quadrant.
